(Mumbai, March 11, 2008) Together with their international sales representative, ExecuJet Aviation Group, the Aerion Corporation today announced the orderbook for its Supersonic Business Jet (SSBJ) had been further bolstered with commitments in the past week for another three aircraft from undisclosed customers in India.

Mumbai, March 11, 2008With the number ordered creeping into the high 20's and valued in excess of US$2 billion, ExecuJet Group Executive Director and Aerion SSBJ Program head, Peter Smales, was speaking in Mumbai this week where ExecuJet and Aerion have been introducing the SSBJ to India's media and following up on a number of serious expressions of interest across the country.

"We are delighted that our marketing and sales efforts since introducing the Aerion SSBJ and opening the orderbook at Dubai Air Show in November 2007 has generated such serious interest across the Middle East and Sub-Continent, and so quickly secured us sales in India," said Smales. "The Aerion SSBJ is a serious business tool", emphasized Smales, "a fact that India's business community has very quickly grasped, recognizing that the Aerion SSBJ's ability to fly faster point-to-point than today's conventional business jets saves time, to in turn generating opportunity."

By way of practical example, Smales explained that for a Mumbai-Singapore trip that today's long range business jets would take 4.50 hours to fly, Aerions SSBJ will complete the same leg in 2:55 hrs (combining speeds of 1.15 Mach over India and 1.6 over sea), just over half the time it takes to fly by commercial airliner.

ExecuJet's decision to showcase the Aerion SSBJ in India follows similar successful events in both London and Moscow, and complements the company's conviction that India presents exciting business aviation growth opportunities for both contemporary business jet aircraft sales and aftermarket and infrastructure support services, as well as tomorrow's supersonic business jet aircraft like Aerion's SSBJ.

Aerion Corporation elected to begin taking SSBJ orders in November 2007 in reaction to advancing discussions with potential OEM partners on the back of strong customer interest in the program. The company is still on track to recruit and contract with an OEM manufacturing partner by early 2009, leading to certification and service entry in 2014.

On behalf of Aerion, ExecuJet is now offering 40 early delivery positions to customers for a launch price of US$80 million in 2007 dollars. Positions can be secured through the payment of an initial deposit of $250,000.

The Aerion supersonic business jet was formally unveiled in October 2004. Since then, wind tunnel and other tests have taken the aircraft to an advanced stage of design.

The Aerion jet is designed to cruise at speeds up to 1.15 Mach overland without producing a sonic boom on the ground, and at speeds up to 1.6 Mach in other areas. Over the continental U.S., where regulations require speeds below Mach 1, the aircraft can cruise efficiently just below the speed of sound, offering economies comparable to today's large business jets. The aircraft seats eight to 12 passengers in stand-up comfort and has a range in excess of 4,000 nautical miles.
